What is chill hip hop?
Simply put, and this is only my own definition, it is ambient hip hop. Basically this is the kind of hip hop that does not draw attention to itself, it just creates a laid-back mood. There are no heavy bass lines or drums, the beats just flow. I find it amazing for actually doing some work, because the songs are relatively uptempo (to keep you awake), while also giving you a chilled, creative mood.
