Bomba Estereo - Fuego
Music is at its best when it expresses something from deep within. This is how it inspires.

Bomba Estereo
This lady's voice is just so sexy. I can't put my finger on the reason why this is but she sounds amazing. She is Liliana Saumet, the vocalist for Bomba Estereo, from Colombia. I discovered this amazing musical project while watching Dexter, the TV series with the serial killer who works for the police :) Interesting show.

Santana
Ok, in this post I'd like to share some songs by Carlos Santana, the famous guitarist. If you're not listening to Santana yet, you really should play the following songs. Me saying that he is a great musician is not even necessary. It would be like me saying to you something like "chocolate is good". It's that good believe me!
His music is wonderfully smooth and always up-to-date. Even if he's been playing since the 60's, he always collaborated with other musicians. He also commands massive respect in the music industry for promoting talented young musicians.
These are songs I really love, all of them produced by Santana, featuring various other great artists:
1. Adouma - from the album Shaman
, featuring Angelique Kidjo.

God, I just forgot that this song always sticks to my mind. Adouma-douma-douma-douma :) Brings back memories too.
This is a more laid back beat, but very nice and smooth. This is what I understand by a true love song. I'm not into the whole soapy emotional stuff. This is just real. If you were ever in love, you'll definitely enjoy this.
3. The entire Shaman album :)
You should really get this one. It's an amazing album. It works in every situation. You can hang out with friends and have it playing in the background, you can use it for long driving situations, walking to school with your headphones on etc. It's a great mixture of musical styles, all held together by Santana's amazing guitar playing.

Chad Kroeger has a wonderful voice. It works wonders with Santana's guitar.
Just like the name states, it's a very smooth song.
Okay, this is my short selection of Santana songs, but really, I have yet to hear a bad song produced by this guy. It's just the kind of music that you can listen to no matter what genre you're into. There's always something new in Santana's music and it's really addictive. Great job Carlos, i give you my humble thanks for creating this amazing music!
Keep listening to great songs!
All the best,
Stefan
PS: Writing this post made me so happy. It's really wonderful to listen to music like this; it just makes you a better person. It would really take a lot to spoil my day now.

Flo Rida
Flo Rida really made it big time. He does deserve this popularity though, because most of his songs are really really fun to listen and dance to. That's the way to go I think in today's music. If you produce fun stuff, more people will listen to your songs, you'll get more airplay etc.
I am truly a sucker for a happy beat. Call me shallow, but at the end of the day, I'd much rather look back on all the smiling moments that happened. There's a lot to be sad about, but if you use fun uptempo music as a cure for a bad mood, things will get better!
So really, try to play some of the songs on this blog in the morning before you go to work. I promise you'll have a better, more productive day and whoever you meet, you'll brighten up their day as well. That's the beauty of music really...it can spark up a lot of joy!
En-joy! :-)

The Seeker
Oh yeah! The Song Seeker definitely digs this next song! :D:D
When I don't know what to listen to, I always turn to the music of the 70's. I discover new songs every time. Songs from that era have that something "cool" about them. I honestly cannot explain it in words. Just listen:
The Who - The Seeker

Awesome! :-)
The 90's are baaack! :D
Such a great beat! Good for driving, good for dancing... I gotta put up some more 90s songs!
Enjoy! :D

Alicsibu
Just a few days ago I was watching some videos of Ronald Jenkees on youtube. You probably know about him, he's already a big celebrity, playing improvisations on his keyboards just for fun. He's an amazing musician in my opinion, someone who will most likely influence a lot of people. His approach is what probably motivates people to listen to his songs and to make songs of their own: "Keep playing stuff, even simple stuff! You can have a whole lot of fun just jamming Mary had a Little Lamb" :)
This is Ronald's Youtube channel.
But who is Alicsibu?
He was one of the people inspired by Jenkees' music and he did something truly amazing. He covered several of Ronald Jenkees' tracks on guitar. Let me tell you, the results are amazing really! Alicsibu is his user name, and this is his Facebook page. His real name is actually Ali Genç. You have to listen to this guy:

I really love these cover songs. Just as many other users on youtube already said, Ali and Ronald Jenkees should really consider starting a band or something. It would be supernatural :) The beginning to Stay Crunchy
litterally raised the hairs on my arm and the ending to Outer Space (A Fun Beat from Outer Space)
is murder!
There's something about these songs that just makes me want to get up. I can't even sit down while listening to them. This morning I actually had a really tough exam, and I listened to these songs while having my breakfast. Amazing music. Exam went well too. (True stuff seriously!)
I am still amazed by how Ali managed to follow the tonality of Jenkees' songs on a different instrument. He is truly a wonderful musician and I am honored to have his videos embedded here in my post. Hope you all like him!

Number one
Hey !
This is my first entry on Song-Seeker. I'm still working on some of the details of the blog and trying to juggle my schedule but things are coming together slowly. Did I mention that this blog will be slow but sure? That's what I plan on building here. It's going to be a database of really good songs. My biggest problem will be to organize them in such a way as to make them all as visible as possible. I am, of course, open to all suggestions! Don't hesitate to bring on the comments. I'm not really an experienced blogger, I'm sure all of you know more about this than me.
Okay, I'm not sure exactly how this blog is going to end up. I still don't know exactly what I want to do with it. All I know is that I really want it to be as good as possible. I will definetly buy a good domain name in the near future. I just want to build some content first.
Do you know "Laid back"? It's probably one of the most underrated bands of all time. It began playing in 1979 Copenhagen and they're probably best known for songs such as "White Horse" (If you wanna ride, ride the wild horse... maybe you remember that) and "Sunshine Reggae". Read more about Laid back on wikipedia.
Now...this is one of their greatest songs (beat starts at 0:54):
Bakerman
. Just listen to the beat. How do you describe being laid back, if not through this. When I listen to the song I feel like merging with the couch. It's just one of those songs that takes you to another place. Listen to the sax at the end. How cool is that. Surely...the lyrics are not really profound, but that's the whole point! You don't need a lot to be laid back. You don't need a fancy relaxation room with scented candles. Just imagine a baker. Baking. Bread. What else do you need? Let the beat surround you and sit back. It's a wonderful ride.
There are other relaxing songs out there, I know. This one is fascinating to me because I don't get sleepy listening to it. It gives me clarity. Things slow down just enough to take control. I actually listen to it before studying. It keeps my mind from being all over the place.
Oh...almost forgot. "Sakubona, unjani wena?" means 'Hello, how are you?' in Zulu.
I hope you'll enjoy this song as much as I do. I love it!
